Black Hybrid Programmable Camera


The CH-HPC2-1MB  is a new addition to our range of premium hybrid cameras.
This is a medium sized, bracket mounting camera used for many common applications on caravans, light commercials and anywhere a reasonably robust but smaller sized camera will suit.

The Series 2 HYBRID range of cameras brings all of the features of our original, groundbreaking range with easier programming and new features.
All cameras are all 1080P AHD by default and can be changed to other HD formats; TVI, CVI in 1080P and 720P variations + CVBS Standard Definition in PAL or NTSC. The original series 1 hybrid cameras were 720P AHD by default with CVBS available.
The programming is still done using a joystick on the cable but this is not compatible with the series 1 cameras and vice versa. All programming is now menu based so having a test screen is very important and we recommend using one of the battery powered CCTV Testers that we stock so that this can be done easily, even after installation.

Two versions of this camera are available as narrower angle lenses are required for applications where the driver is using the camera for constant vision of the road and traffic behind while a wider angle lens is used for general purpose use and for reverse use.

TheCH-HPC2-1MB black hybrid camera is the standard model and has a 120o lens which is most common as this suits a wide range of applications and is considered a general purpose camera.

The CH-HPC2-1MB50 uses a 50o lens which provides a better view of traffic on the road behind or further away and as such is recommended when the main purpose of the camera is to be able to see what is behind the van or vehicle while driving. This is commonly combined with one of our clip-on mirror monitors or a mirror replacement monitor for use as an eMirror on utilities with a full canopy or trade body and no natural rear vision is possible but by adding this camera with a monitor in the normal mirror location the driver can have rear vision that is very similar to standard.
As this is intended for constant vision, there are no IR LEDs used as when the IT comes on, the camera image changes to black & white and it is better to have standard colour in this case. A Dual Camera version combines this and the standard CH-HPC2-1MB in a single mounting bracket for both a reverse view and road view.

These cameras are able to be used in various applications including:

  • caravan rear-view camera for constant vision of road and traffic behind and reversing
  • motorhome rear-view camera for constant vision of road and traffic behind and reversing
  • utility with canopy or trade body for constant vision of road and traffic behind and reversing
  • construction and agricultural machinery, forward and rear vision systems

The CH-HPC2-1MB  is just 56mm wide, 42mm high and 55mm deep (excluding the bracket) but has all of the same features as the entire range of hybrid cameras in a compact housing with standard 4 Pin female connector.

A white version of the CH-HPC2-1MB is also available, CH-HPC2-1MW white hybrid camera which is the same other than the housing colour.

For caravans and motorhomes the dome camera may be used as this is surface mounting, model CH-HPC1WD or CH-HPC1BD.

To use the camera in AHD mode a suitable, AHD compatible monitor will be required.
