The CH-SRC1F is a miniature camera for cars and is used where there is only a very small space to fit a reversing camera. This is a flush mount fitting as standard but has alternative butterfly style and hanging bracket mountings included and as such is a very versatile device.
This is part of the Chipatronic Selectable Reverse Camera product range where the cameras have various functions and features which can be selected at the time of installation for professional installation. The functions are selected by cutting small wire loops on the cable and as such it is important to understand what features are standard and what needs to be changed before commencing.
The SRC range all use a high resolution, CMOS sensor with 800TVL resolution and are well suited to the larger in-dash displays now common in cars but will be just as suitable for aftermarket monitors. All SRC cameras have a standard NTSC video format which suits
On the CH-SRC1F the functions are limited to selection of camera guidelines which on as a default but can be turned off and the image which is a mirror image as default but can be turned to a real image for use as forward facing camera. Other cameras in this range are CH-SRC1A and CH-SRC1U
These cameras all feature the same professional installation cable system which allows the installer to make all required connections in the dash area rather than the traditional method of connecting into the tail lights which is not possible on many modern cars although this method can be used if required by bridging 2 wires on the cable.
When used as a flush mount camera it will require a hole to be drilled but at just 12.5mm diameter this will not cause concerns as may be the case with larger size cameras and if being used to replace an older, larger camera a filler can be used to close the original hole and then a smaller hole drilled for this device.
The alternative mounts included will require the front section to be unscrewed and the flush bezel removed and then the brackets can be fitted as needed with a nose cone section screwed on in place of the flush mount. A butterfly bracket and 2 hanging mounts are included in the package to be used as required.
