AHD Camera

  • The CH-AHD4HD is a heavy duty, box style AHD camera with a high-resolution sensor for commercial applications, Effective Pixels: 1280(H)*960(V) for 720P output.
As this is an AHD camera it cannot be used with legacy video system but is suitable for use with Chipatronic Analogue DVRsHybrid Monitorsand other AHD compatible devices but

The CH-AHD4HD is available in three lens options: 120o for general purpose and reversing use, 65o for rear-vision in an e-mirror system, 20o for special applications where the area to be viewed is further away or a small area needs to be shown in high detail.

Heavy duty power supply for full-time operation and 4 pin connection to integrate with Chipatronic cabling systems is standard. Black body only.

As standard, the camera is Mirror Image for reverse use but can be easily converted to Real Image for use with DVR systems.

A CVBS version of this is also available for use with legacy systems and standard monitors, please see CH-CCD4P-F

  • The CH-AHDFMC is an AHD  flush mount camera which can be fitted to service-bodies, canopies etc. to leave a clean finish without protrusions and is supplied with a bevel ring kit to enable the camera to tilted downwards when this is being used primarily for reversing. If being used as a rear-vision camera the bevel ring is not generally used.

This camera is designed to be used as part of an e-mirror system and would be commonly used in conjunction with the CH-RVM733H mirror monitor or the CH-STQAHD10 / CH-STQAHD7 quad monitors but can be used with any AHDcompatible monitor.
This can also be converted to Real Image for connection to an Analogue DVR

The CH-AHDFMC is available in three lens options: 120o for general purpose and reversing use, 65o for rear-vision in an e-mirror system, 20o for special applications where the area to be viewed is further away or a small area needs to be shown in high detail.

  • The CH-AHDMBC is a Mirror Bracket mounting camera for use on trucks with tubular side mirror brackets.
By mounting the cameras on the mirror brackets a clear side view can be achieved which is particularly important with DVR systems on large trucks

This is an AHDcamera for use with either Analogue DVR systems or with Hybrid vehicle monitors and is not suitable for use with older, legacy systems which use only CVBS video input.
    .
A popular application is on trucks with two side cameras and one or two rear cameras to allow the driver to see either side and behind the truck using a QUAD monitor.
In this way, simultaneous, side by side view can be provided or with more cameras three or four cameras can be viewed in a split-screen arrangement.

For legacy CVBS systems, please see the CH-CCDMBC which uses the same housing but with traditional, lower resolution video transmission

The cameras have a standard 4 pin connection and are in AHD PAL format (other formats and resolution available to special order), 720P resolution, 12V DC

  • The CH-AHDVR4  series is the latest evolution of our most popular DVR for heavy vehicles where recording from 1 to 4 cameras is required.

The main feature of these devices is they are now a hybrid device which can work with both traditional CVBS cameras and also use newer and higher resolution AHD cameras, offering improved video recording while retaining the ease of use and practicality of the older, CVBS only systems.
As standard, a DVR system would be supplied with AHD cameras as these are 720P HD but an existing DVR can be replaced with this model and retain the original cameras if that is preferred.

These recording systems can be supplied with a 1TB hard drive (HDD) as standard or can be upgraded with SSD to provide greater durability in more arduous situations. A 1TB drive will store approximately 500 hours of high-quality video from 4 cameras, with or without audio and an SD card can be added to provide a level of redundancy as recording will fail over to this should a problem occur with the main hard drive.
A USB input is used to connect a standard mouse to the DVR which is used to access the system menu if needed.

These systems use standard Chipatronic cabling systems and any of our Real Image cameras including internal models with audio input (both AHD and CVBS types are available).
For common camera options, see here.

Up to 3 external alarm inputs can be configured and linked to video channels to provide a separate record of events related to the alarm input or the alarm function can be set up to switch the video output to show specific cameras which can be configured in the same way as a reversing camera.
These models have a traditional CVBS video output for use with standard vehicle monitors and also a HDMI socket output for higher quality video.
A 9" LCD monitor with HDMI input is available for use with the DVRs. Handheld, battery powered test monitors can be used for basic checks and camera setup.

Options can include GPS for speed and location; external button for Start/Stop control or emergency alarm input and upgrade from standard HDD to SSD (Solid State Drive).
Wireless connectivity via the 4G network can be provided (see CH-AHDVR4-4G) which allows real-time access to video from the vehicle, download of saved video files, location via map with alarm notification also able to be linked to video.

The DVR is supplied in a lockable, metal enclosure for tamper-proof installation with anti-vibration mounting system or can be supplied in a smaller, hard mount enclosure but must use an SSD as the vibration would not allow use of a standard HDD. Model number CH-AHDVR4-S.

  • The CH-AHDVR  series is the answer for those requiring a DVR for heavy vehicles where more than 4 cameras are required and is largely similar in operation to the CH-AHDVR4 but with 8 analogue channels and 1 Digital HD channel for a total of 9 channels.

The most common application for the CH-AHDVR8 is with 5 to 8 analogue video channels configured and using AHD cameras recording at 720P although the system is capable of 1080P if required.
The Digital HD channel is primarily used when a high-resolution, forward video recording is required, similar to a dashcam.

These recording systems can be supplied with a hard drive which will normally be either 500GB or 1TB SSD although 2TB SSD can be supplied if requested.
